WEATHER ALERT TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS

In the last couple of days, we have had problems getting the word out to everyone about delays and closings of the Pioneer School and other Pioneer Center affiliated programs. These have been primarily technical problems experienced by the radio station.

We believe these problems have been corrected, so your best bet in checking closings or delays is still the local radio station, both on the air announcements and over the internet.

If you watch the Columbus television stations, be aware that there are some differences in how they announce our closings and delays.

If you see “Pioneer Center” or “The Ross County Board of MRDD” or “The Ross County Board of DD”, be advised that all three of these names mean the same thing.

(By state law we are now officially called “The Ross County Board of Developmental Disabilities” instead of the “Ross County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities,” but in Ross County everyone knows us as “Pioneer Center”.)
